Fall into Fun 06’

If you missed The Iowa Clinic Healthcare Foundation Fall into Fun Carnival, then you missed a fun evening. This year the Foundation decided to take a break from Open Mic Night and try something new. More than 360 people attended the Carnival at the Val Air Ballroom on October 14th. We are pleased to announce the event raised more than  $44,000 in corporate sponsorships and ticket and token sales.

The Carnival had something for everyone. Attendees could take a shot at CEO Ed Brown in the pie toss, or they could take a shot at the hoop dreams basketball game. Many people took a stroll on the cake walk for a chance to win a delicious dessert, and there was always a line at the wine toss and the giant game of Operation.

Thousands of dollars in prizes were donated for the Carnival including dozens of gift certificates to area businesses and restaurants, Civic Center tickets and Smart Talk Lecture Series tickets. The big prize of the evening was a “Talk Show Tour” in New York City. The package included tickets to The View, Live with Regis and Kelley and the Rachel Ray show.

Save the date for the 2007 Carnival. The event is planned for Saturday, October 6th.
