Ground Breaking Ceremony Held for 85,000 Square Foot Expansion  

West Lakes to double in size by summer of 2008

On Wednesday, June 6th, The Iowa Clinic held their official ground breaking ceremony for phase 2 of The Iowa Clinic West Lakes Campus.  The Campus, located at 5950 University Avenue in West Des Moines, will double in size by the summer of 2008.  The expansion will allow existing specialty clinics to grow and provide more patient care.  It will also allow for new specialty services such as a sleep lab, pulmonary medicine and urology.

Robert Parks, West Des Moines City Council Member, Dr. Steven Herwig, Chairman of The Iowa Clinic Board of Directors and Marc Gullickson, President of Ryan Companies, Inc. all joined C. Edward Brown, CEO of The Iowa Clinic, in the ceremony. 

The expansion is expected to take 14 months to complete.
