Colorectal Surgery
Colorectal Surgeon Des Moines
The Iowa Clinic has a team of three board certified surgeons dedicated to treating disorders and diseases of the small bowel, colon, rectum and anus. A colorectal surgeon, sometimes referred to as a proctologist, has completed training in general surgery as well as advanced training in treatment of colon and rectal problems.
If you have had a colorectal screening and your doctor finds something abnormal you may be sent to see a colorectal surgeon to further evaluate and diagnose your condition.
Remember, one of the best things you can do is get a screening colonoscopy. Colorectal cancer deaths could be cut in half if everyone over the age of 50 got tested for the disease.

Testimonials
My Surgeon, Dr. Michael Page, and Oncologist, Dr. Robert Behrens, are two of the smartest people I've ever met. Dr. Page was the one to tell me I had cancer. He was empathetic, explained the surgery and even made me laugh. . . he continues to make me laugh.
