EUS

Endoscopic Ultrasonography (EUS) is an exam performed to evaluate your esophagus, stomach and the gastrointestinal tract. An endoscope (thin, flexible tube with an ultrasound probe) is passed through your mouth or anus to examine the effected section of digestive tract and images are obtained for evaluation.  EUS can be used to diagnose pancreatic disease, gallbladder disease or blockages, and to help diagnose or stage certain cancers or suspected cancers. Your physician will provide you preliminary results after your procedure; some final testing results generally take several days.
