The Iowa Clinic Healthcare Foundation

The Iowa Clinic Healthcare Foundation partners with middle schools within the Des Moines Public School district to offer free sports physicals.

Hundreds of kids in our community are being sidelined each year because of a huge barrier: the inability to get a sports physical. Through the program, we provide students the opportunity to participate in after-school activities, which keeps negative behavior low and attendance and classroom engagement up.

In addition to providing free sports physicals, we deliver snacks and other items (toiletries, socks, sports bras, shoes etc.) the students need to get involved.
