About Allison Lorenzen, MD
Allison Lorenzen, MD is a plastic surgeon who joined The Iowa Clinic to bring her skills and expertise back to her home state of Iowa. As a native Iowan, she is excited to care for patients in her community and help them navigate important stages of their reconstructive journey.
Dr. Lorenzen chose plastic surgery because it combines meticulous attention to detail with creativity to solve a wide variety of problems for patients of all ages. She finds it especially rewarding to help patients restore their sense of self and confidence after a cancer diagnosis, accident, weight loss, pregnancy or as part of the aging process.
Dr. Lorenzen brings extensive experience in breast and general reconstructive surgery, with particular expertise in breast reconstruction and revision procedures, including autologous reconstruction using DIEP flaps.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, baking and spending time with her husband and three sons.
