About Anthony Schneider, MD

Dr. Anthony Schneider is an obstetrician and gynecologist who joined The Iowa Clinic because he values the physician-owned model and believes it allows providers to deliver the highest level of patient-centered care. He was drawn to the collaborative culture at The Iowa Clinic, where a shared commitment to excellent care benefits both patients and physicians alike.

Dr. Schneider chose obstetrics and gynecology because of the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients while caring for them through some of life's most meaningful milestones. He enjoys the specialty's unique blend of primary care, surgery, and obstetrics and finds it especially rewarding to help families grow while improving women's health. His patient care philosophy centers on providing patients with the knowledge and guidance they need to make informed decisions, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.

An Iowa native, Dr. Schneider earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine before completing his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Throughout his training, he remained active in research focused on women's health, quality improvement, and patient outcomes. Prior to medical school, he graduated summa cum laude from South Dakota State University, where he was a four-year letter winner on the baseball team.

Outside of work, Dr. Schneider enjoys playing golf, cycling, spending time outdoors with his wife and two boys, and cheering on the Hawkeyes, Green Bay Packers, and St. Louis Cardinals.
