About Dylan Peters, PT
Dylan Peters, PT, ATC, MA joined The Iowa Clinic in 2022 after having worked as a physical therapist in Myrtle Beach. Prior to becoming a DPT, he was an athletic trainer for two years, and even worked for the Chicago Bears!
He was first introduced to the Clinic through his sister — internal medicine physician Dr. Megan Kippes. After speaking with her and getting to know more about The Iowa Clinic, he knew he wanted to be a part of the team.
Their mother worked as an RN for many years, so medicine was always a topic of discussion around their dinner table. He didn't seriously start considering a career in medicine until both of his sisters decided to go to medical school. An interest in medicine and passion for athletics eventually led Dylan toward athletic training, but he went on to receive his doctorate in physical therapy to become the best sports medicine provider he could be.
While the South Dakota native finds many things rewarding about being a physical therapist, his personal favorite is seeing that moment when a patient realizes that what was once difficult or painful, is now doable and even easy sometimes.
Outside of the office, you'll find Dylan spending time with his wife Kiley, cat Dani, and puppy. He enjoys cooking, pick up basketball, golf, and watching reruns of How I Met Your Mother.
If Dylan didn't work in medicine, he would be a chef or carpenter because he enjoys working with his hands. He and Kiley are very excited to be back in the Midwest and can't wait to serve the needs of Central Iowans.
