About Antonio Martinez, MD
Antonio Martinez, MD, joined The Iowa Clinic in 2020 after practicing in Miami, Florida for 13 years. Besides working as a pathologist, he was also an Assistant Clinical Professor at Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University and is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Hematopathology. Dr. Martinez chose The Iowa Clinic because he wanted to provide his pathology services to the clinic’s excellent physicians and patients.
His interest in pathology began his second year of schooling after taking an intense pathology course and he’s been hooked ever since. Dr. Martinez chose pathology because he loves seeing something new and different every time he looks into a microscope. In addition, he enjoys providing great service to his colleagues and giving them the information they need to help patients.
Spending time with his wife and three kids and staying active is important to Dr. Martinez.
