About Douglas Casady, MD
Douglas Casady, MD joins The Iowa Clinic Oculofacial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery department, bringing more than 20 years of experience caring for patients across Central Iowa. Dr. Casady has built a career focused on restoring both function and confidence through specialized oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Casady completed an ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at the Lions Eye Institute at Albany Medical College after serving as Chief Resident during his ophthalmology residency at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He earned his medical degree and Master of Science from Creighton University and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
Throughout his career, Dr. Casady has been passionate about service and education. He participated in medical mission work in the Dominican Republic, taught anatomy at the American University of the Caribbean during medical school and even received the Golden Apple Teaching Award.
