James Bisanti, MD is a board-certified radiologist who joined The Iowa Clinic Medical Imaging department for its patient-centered approach and commitment to excellence. He chose to specialize in radiology because it combines diagnostic precision with advanced technology, allowing him to play a vital role in patient care across a variety of medical specialties. For Dr. Bisanti, it is especially rewarding to detect cancer in its earliest stages, when treatment can make the greatest difference in a patient’s outcome.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Bisanti enjoys woodworking and staying active with his wife and five children. Together, they love hiking, traveling, and making the most of time outdoors. If he wasn’t in medicine, he might have pursued a career as an architect or engineer, something that combines problem-solving with design.
