About Jane Yoon, MD

Dr. Jane Yoon is an orthopaedic hand surgeon who joined The Iowa Clinic, drawn to the collaborative, patient-centered culture. She believes patients receive the best care when providers work together and is excited to be part of a team that shares that philosophy.

Dr. Yoon chose hand surgery because it combines problem-solving, technical precision, and meaningful relationships with patients. The most rewarding part of her work is seeing patients return to the activities they love—whether that's getting back to work, playing an instrument, gardening, or spending time with grandchildren. Her patient care philosophy is simple: treat every patient the way she would want a member of her own family to be treated.

Dr. Yoon earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio before completing her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Saint Louis University Hospital and a fellowship in Orthopaedic Hand Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and was recognized as a 2025 Castle Connolly Rising Star Physician. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, family, and friends, practicing yoga, gardening, reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors. Dr. Yoon loves traveling and exploring new places, especially by experiencing local food and learning about different communities.
