Dr. Perez-Cardona chose hematology oncology because it allows him to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families while guiding them through challenging diagnoses and treatment decisions. He finds the most rewarding part of his work is helping patients understand their health concerns and management options so they can feel confident in their care.

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, trekking, and cooking.
