About Kaitlyn Totten, DNP
Kaitlyn Totten, DNP joined The Iowa Clinic Neurosurgery department in 2026 after being drawn to the Clinic’s commitment to patient-focused care and the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes. Kaitlyn chose neurosurgery because of its powerful ability to positively change patients’ lives. With a long-standing interest in all things neurological, this specialty allows her to continuously grow while doing what she loves most.
For Kaitlyn, the most rewarding part of her job is building meaningful connections with her patients and helping improve their quality of life, celebrating each milestone alongside them. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters, as well as traveling to different Caribbean islands.
