About Kate Phillips, ARNP
Kate Phillips, ARNP is a family nurse practitioner who joined The Iowa Clinic because of its strong reputation for high-quality, patient-centered care and its collaborative approach to healthcare. As an Iowa native who has spent the past seven years caring for patients in the Des Moines area, she is excited to bring her experience to The Iowa Clinic.
Kate chose primary care because she enjoys providing comprehensive care across a wide range of health needs and building long-term relationships with patients. She values getting to know each patient as an individual and partnering with them to manage both acute and chronic conditions. Her patient care philosophy centers on compassion, respect and understanding.
Kate brings clinical experience across internal medicine, family medicine, women's health and acute care, including several years as a registered nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her golden retriever, traveling, trying new restaurants and experiences and attending Iowa State sporting events.
