About Ryan Day, ARNP
Ryan Day, ARNP joined The Iowa Clinic Hospitalist department after many years of caring for patients in The Iowa Clinic Urgent Care. With more than a decade of experience in emergency medicine and critical care, Ryan brings a calm, confident presence to patients during some of their most overwhelming moments. He finds it most rewarding to provide compassionate care through therapeutic communication and shared decision-making, ensuring patients and their families feel supported and involved in their treatment.
A Grimes, Iowa native, Ryan is honored to continue to serve his local community where he grew up. Outside of medicine, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, whether hiking, visiting the zoo and science center, or enjoying family movie nights at home. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Ryan was a competitive archer who competed internationally, finishing his career with three world championship titles, six world record scores, 13 national championship titles, and 17 national records. If he weren’t a provider, Ryan would be a professional archer, traveling the world, coaching and writing for the sport.
