All you'll need is:

  • Your bill ID (found on your statement)
  • Your date of birth

Online Billing & Payment FAQs

The Iowa Clinic launched a new, simplified billing and payment system on March 10, 2026. The new experience allows you to view statements, receive digital bill notifications, and pay your bill online from any device — without needing to create a username or password.

To access your account to view or pay your bill, visit pay.iowaclinic.com

All you'll need is:

  • Your bill ID (found on your statement)
  • Your date of birth

That's it! No app downloads. No usernames or passwords to remember.

Your 12-digit Bill ID is located at the upper-right corner of your paper statement and in the header of electronic notifications sent via text or email.

There can be a short delay between your visit date and when your bill is ready to view. We'll notify you by paper statement, text or email — based on your notification preferences — as soon as it's available.

You can choose whichever method is most convenient:

  • Pay online through pay.iowaclinic.com
  • Click the link in your text or email notification
  • Scan the QR code on your paper statement
  • Call the pay-by-phone number listed on your statement
  • Mail a check or money order with your payment slip (please do not mail cash)

You may pay using:

  • Credit or debit card
  • Electronic check (ACH)
  • Apple Pay (on Apple devices)
  • Google Pay (on Android devices)
  • Check or money order

Yes. Our upgraded system allows you to create a custom, 0% interest payment plan that fits your needs — including frequency, duration, and first payment date. 

We understand that medical bills can be a lot. Visit pay.iowaclinic.com to set up a payment plan — choose your frequency, duration and start date — or make a partial payment. Just keep in mind the full balance is still due by the payment due date.

Log in at pay.iowaclinic.com, then go to My Account (the circle with your initials, top right corner). From there you can review and update your contact info and notification settings. If something looks off or is missing, call the billing center number shown on your account.

Protecting your personal and financial information is a priority. All payments are processed through a secure, encrypted connection (SSL), and electronic payments go through a processor with guaranteed protection against unauthorized transactions. The Iowa Clinic will never share your personal information.
