Endoscopy Medical Expertise
From prep to post-procedure, you’ll have experienced staff and experts to make you feel comfortable at every step. You're assured the highest level of quality care and patient safety. As an AAAHC-certified ambulatory surgery center, we're committed to the highest standards.

Endoscopic Procedures
Our accredited Endoscopy Center offers comprehensive treatment for gastrointestinal issues affecting your digestive system. We can perform a wide variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and screening gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.
Patient Information
The Iowa Clinic Endoscopy Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), assuring that our care, policies, procedures, processes and outcomes are all up to nationally-accepted standards.
Our physicians and staff are dedicated to providing you and your family members with personal attention. We’ll make every effort to ensure that you and your loved ones are made as comfortable as possible from the time of admission until your release to go home.
As a reminder, patients must secure a ride to and from their procedure with someone at least 18 years of age who has a cell phone. Do not use a taxi, Uber or other public transportation service.
The Endoscopy Center Experience
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence. Every procedure is performed with state-of-the-art equipment by board-certified gastroenterologists. Our colon polyp detection rates rank higher than the national average. And every tissue sample and biopsy is reviewed by a specialist in gastrointestinal pathology.
Along the way, we work to make every part of your endoscopic procedure more comfortable. We also take precautions to ensure your health and safety. Take a virtual tour to see what it’s like to get an endoscopic procedure.
Paying for Your Endoscopic Procedure
The cost of each endoscopic procedure varies. Starting October 1, 2025, we will be collecting patient balances up front before your procedure. This includes estimated copays, coinsurance, and deductible amounts as determined by your insurance provider.
This change helps simplify your experience and ensures all billing questions are addressed before your appointment. A member of our billing team will contact you before your procedure date to collect payment prior to your procedure.
Following your procedure, we will file an insurance claim for you. After your insurance pays, if there is any difference between the estimate you paid and what your insurance processed, you will receive a statement from The Iowa Clinic for any remaining balance or a refund, if applicable.
If you have any questions about the cost of your procedure or would like an estimate before undergoing a procedure, call the Central Billing Office at (515) 875-9604.
Cancellation Policy
Our top priority is to provide an exceptional patient experience. No-shows, cancellations, and reschedules prevent other patients from utilizing valuable procedure times. Failure to provide notice at least 72 hours in advance of your endoscopy procedure could result in a $100 charge. Please help us avoid this charge by attending your scheduled appointment or by calling us at 515.875.9113, Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:15pm at least 72 hours in advance of your procedure.
