Our newly expanded facility in North Waukee is the home of The Iowa Clinic's Dermatology department. This clinic features new rooms, a self-arrival kiosk, and convenient parking for our patients.
This dermatology clinic features Mohs surgery, an advanced treatment option for those with a skin cancer diagnosis. Mohs surgery is most useful for skin cancers that:
- Have a high risk of coming back or that have returned after previous treatment.
- Area in areas where you want to keep as much healthy tissue as possible. This includes areas around the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hands, feet and genitals.
- Have edges that are hard to define.
- Are large or grow quickly.
With Mohs surgery you will receive your results right away. You typically will not leave your appointment until all of the skin cancer has been removed.
