Cancer Surgery
Surgery is a common tool used not only in treatment but also in diagnosis, staging, prevention and symptom relief of cancers. It’s often used with other treatments to remove and completely rid the body of cancer. When surgery is needed, a surgical oncologist will perform it.
Chemotherapy
Chemo is the most well-known cancer treatment and is effective in treating many different cancers. Chemo drugs can be delivered in a variety of ways to target the type, location and stage of your cancer — destroying the fast-growing cells before they replicate and spread.

Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy targets your body’s immune system — not cancer — to teach it to identify and attack the diseased, mutated cells. For certain cancers, it’s an effective first line of defense to stop the spread and works in combination with other treatments to eradicate cancer.
Cancer Screenings
Cancer screening tests are the first and most effective method for finding and preventing many types of cancer. Oncologists review screening results for abnormalities and develop plans to fight cancer in the early stages when it’s most treatable — or before it even develops.
