About Kiley Gallagher, PA-C
Kiley Gallagher, PA-C joined The Iowa Clinic Neurosurgery department because of the quality of patient care and coordinated communication between all departments. Kiley chose neurosurgery because she enjoys being a hands-on part of a patient’s journey to healing. Spending time with patients and helping them to better understand their health is one of the most rewarding parts of being a provider.
Although Kiley is fascinated with the central nervous system, she did not always plan to pursue medicine. Kiley worked in the wine industry for five years with her degree in winemaking before deciding to study medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, reading, bird watching, exploring Des Moines, thrift shopping, and gardening. If she was not a provider, she might have been an ornithologist or a flower farmer.
