About Therese Tran, DO
Therese Tran, DO joined The Iowa Clinic in 2009 because she wanted to join a physician owned, multispecialty clinic that collectively makes decisions to improve patient care. Dr. Tran chose OB/GYN because of her passion for women’s health and taking care of women through all phases of life. She shares that delivering babies is both an honor and privilege for her to be a part of such an important life event for a family.
A Kansas City native, Dr. Tran lived in Belize for three years while her parents did mission work. She has been on several mission trips, including one with Medical Missions International to Dominican Republic. While there, she performed multiple surgeries daily — sometimes with no power or medical supplies —and took care of women in an underserved village.
Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time outdoors — camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting. She also loves to travel with her family and take her two girls to visit all the National Parks. If she wasn’t a physician, she might have been a hunting or fishing guide.
