About Tyler Aasen, DO
Dr. Tyler Aasen joined The Iowa Clinic in 2020 to be part of an organization that takes pride in providing high-quality patient care and where physicians can be involved in leadership to make patient-centered decisions and policies.
He chose gastroenterology because it enables him to develop long term patient relationships while also allowing for more immediate and direct patient impact through procedural interventions. A physician specializing in GI cares for patients at some of their most vulnerable and difficult times. The most rewarding part of his job is seeing his patients recover and get back to normal life.
Dr. Aasen was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota and attended medical school at Des Moines University. His Midwest roots run deep, and he was excited to return to Iowa. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, cooking, gardening, and watching both college and professional football.
